Emil von Maltitz

It's been a long time coming but I have finally put together a gallery of some of my personal work on this site.

I have been involved in Photography since the last century (that makes me sound old, but I just started young). I began teaching photography while still at University for the Rhodes Photographic Society, and started shooting for Gallo and Getty Images shortly thereafter. In 2008, after getting a masters degree in something completely different, and heading down a career that didn't exactly fit, I started LimePhoto, a commercial photographic studio that specializes in Industrial, corporate and product photography. At the same time I became a member of the invitational International Environmental Photographers Association and continued to teach photography through the travel companies African Encounters and African Impact.

Throwing caution to the wind, Nick van de Wiel (founder and owner of Tailor Made Safaris) and myself started Nature's Light, a photography workshop venture towards the end of 2015. This has been an incredible personal journey, allowing me to meet many other fantastic photographers in far flung locations that are as diverse as Madagascar and Iceland.

Apart from my mildly successful blog (I'm pretty sure more than five people read it) I have not actually shared my personal (as opposed to commercial) work in a single space before. Here you go...
